Quarteira entrepreneurs’ association ‘Associação de Empresários Por Quarteira’ is pitching the creation of a “permanent airbridge between Portugal and the UK” to the Portuguese government.
The proposal would effectively open up air travel between the two countries once again so long as passengers present proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test.
As the entrepreneurs point out, the UK’s decision to move Portugal to the ‘amber list’ is already impacting hotel bookings and businesses’ revenue.
