PRODUCERS OF aluminium and PVC doors and windows, Silvestre e Sousa began operating from a small 40sqm warehouse in Portimão 22 years ago.
Business partners João Silvestre and António Sousa have since relocated the company to much bigger premises, comprising some 2,800sqm, on the Coca Maravilhas estate behind Leclerc, where last year they invested two million euros in new machinery and equipment to enable them to produce quality windows and doors on a much larger scale.
Prior to the creation of Silvestre e Sousa, people were forced to purchase such products from as far a field as Lisbon and the north of Portugal.
João and António saw the niche in the market and identified it as a new business opportunity.
Cost effective
The business now boasts a number of highly specialised staff members and is capable of producing over 50 windows per day, and they can be supplied in various different shapes, including rectangular, square, triangular and circular.
Working on such a large scale enables the company to be cost effective – offering competitive prices to its clients.
The company offers a wide choice of windows, interior and exterior doors, blinds and shutters, fly screens, garage doors and conservatories.
