The Algarve Masters Series, which culminates in the October 12 Portugal Master Pro-Am event participation for the eventual winners, tees off on the Aroeira course on Sunday.
Literally thousands of amateurs will be battling it out on fairways and greens all over the country for the coming three months hoping to reach the Algarve final on October 1 and subsequently go on to mix it with the stars at the Oceânico Victoria Club.
