A cookbook combining “delicious Portuguese recipes with stunning photography” will be launched at the Conrad Hotel in Quinta do Lago on September 30.
Named Purple Carrots, the book is written by Dutch duo Linda Dubbelt and Annelies Reugebrink, who promise to present a “new vision of Portuguese and Portuguese-Influenced cooking”.
The book launch will go ahead at 12.30pm during a Rotary Club lunch.
The authors say the book represents a “quest to promote this oft-ignored nation of deep-rooted culinary traditions”, adding that “our style and the recipes we have developed over the years reveal our personal vision of Portuguese and Portuguese-influenced cooking, and much more besides that. They show just why we fell in love with this country and in its food, and why we think Portuguese cooking deserves a much greater following”.
