A Portuguese water dog from an Algarve breeder is carrying puppies, one of which could become the future pet of the Obama family in the White House.
The regional tourism board (ERTA), which asked Algarve breeder Carla Peralta from the centre for Portuguese Water Dogs in the Ria Formosa natural park to offer a puppy to the new US President, has released a statement confirming that the litter will be born between April 10 and 15. According to the regional tourism board: “The ERTA has maintained contacts with the US embassy in Lisbon and the reception of the offer has been very positive. We are waiting for a response from the Obama family.”
