LAGOS CÂMARA has created a new urban transport system called A Onda, the wave, which will run every day from April between 7am and 8pm, including Sundays and bank holidays.
The new service uses eleven buses that will connect all the parish councils and the beach areas, like Meia Praia, D. Ana and Porto de Mós, using seven different routes. The vehicles are equipped with air conditioning, lower steps and wheelchair friendly.
Ticket prices will depend on where passengers get the bus, but will vary from a minimum of 50 cents for tickets bought in advance, to a maximum of 23 euros for monthly passes.
The system is being tested for free until Monday.
