A public tender will be used to choose the future regional health administration (ARS) president, who will be announced in October, according to the Health Minister, Paulo Macedo. The former president Martins dos Santos resigned after alleged disagreements concerning the creation of the Centro Hospitalar do Algarve, which encompasses the boards of the Faro, Portimão and Lagos hospitals.
