Rita Marques, the former Secretary of State at the heart of a new ‘revolving door’ scandal is being investigated already by State prosecutors over a criminal complaint that she “overstepped her powers” in settling a conflict over a Bingo concession in Porto just before she handed in her resignation. Ms Marques has yet to hear what action will be taken over her leaving the government to work in a company which has benefitted to the tune of millions of euros thanks to actions undertaken by her former ministry.
