Public health congress brings more than 1,000 specialists to Lisbon

Current themes in public health will be under discussion for two days in Lisbon this week at a congress that brings together former health ministers, researchers and experts and aims, among other objectives, to prepare plans for future challenges in this area. Organised by the Portuguese Society of Public Health, the Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Public Health and the National Association of Public Health Physicians, the “Public Health 23 Congress – A new era” will be held on Thursday and Friday at Culturgest, in Lisbon, and already has over 1,000 people enrolled. Guest speakers include former health ministers Marta Temido and Paulo Macedo, former secretary of state for health Raquel Duarte and former director general of health Francisco George.
