Public debt drops between October and November but still higher than this time last year

The good news is that public debt fell by 2.4 billion euros between October and November last year. The not-so-good news is that current totals (242.8 billion euros) are still up on figures for November 2016. The difference has been reported as 978 million – with the Bank of Portugal putting the October to November drop down to earlybird repayment of 2.8 billion to the IMF.
