The Portuguese Psychologists Association is pushing for the introduction of the ‘psychology-cheque’ for needy schoolchildren, in line with the ‘dentist-cheque’ initiative from the government (see other brief on this page).
Meetings with the ministers of Health, Social Security and Education have already been requested by the association, which feels children with educational needs would also benefit from having access to psychological support.
