PSP syndicate schedules national protest for November 24

The syndicate of the PSP police has called a national protest in Lisbon for Thursday November 24. The reasons given by ASPP/PSP syndicate leader Paulo Santos are “lack of personnel and of answers from the government”, over issues like “very exaggerated” overtime. “We feel political power has monopolized the last two years”, he said, putting the police force in second place. The protest is due to start at Praça Luís Camões at 5pm on November 24, and make its way to the parliamentary building.
