A 70-year-old man was caught red-handed by PSP police trying to steal €1,350 from a parked car near Portimão’s riverside on Sunday afternoon (May 29).
The attempted theft happened during the ‘Dia dos Bombeiros’ celebrations, attended by Internal Administration Minister Constança Urbano de Sousa.
Apparently the man wanted to take advantage of the commotion to steal the cash-filled envelope from the car, but he was being watched by PSP agents who arrested him on the spot.
