A Lisbon PSP agent risked his life last night jumping into the Tejo river to rescue a drowning man. The man had ‘fallen into the water accidentally’ near the Ribeira das Naus area, but couldn’t get to the bank to save himself. The agent swam roughly 20 metres, managing to get hold of the man and getting him back to the bank where volunteer firefighters had arrived with an ambulance. The man was transported to São José hospital.
