PSP agent disciplined for ordering 19 women protestors to strip

A female PSP agent has been ‘reprimanded’ and subjected to a disciplinary process following her orders to 19 young women arrested during a protest at Lisbon airport to strip “so that it could be seen if they were hiding any objects in their corporal areas”. The agent violated her duties of care and propriety, ruled a report by IGAI (the general inspectorate of internal administration) – particularly considering the men arrested were searched without any recourse to stripping.
