PSD Portimão announces censure motion against Portimão mayoress Isilda Gomes

The Portimão branch of centre-right PSD has announced it will be tabling a ‘motion of censure’ against the town’s mayoress, Isilda Gomes – already the subject of a criminal inquiry after having received her first shot of vaccine when she didn’t qualify for it in the established list of priorities. Says the local party, Ms Gomes acted “immorally”, going ahead of hundreds of fellow citizens who were still waiting, albeit on the priority list, for their shots. The PSD’s announcement comes as further allegations of vaccination queue-jumping in the Algarve are being investigated.
