Luís Montenegro, leader of Portugal’s main opposition PSD social democrat party, starts a new round of his “Feel Portugal” initiative this month, leaving the country for the first time to meet Portuguese communities in Europe. The tour will run until March 28 and will take in Brussels, Dusseldorf, Luxembourg, Paris and Geneva. This will be the seventh round of Montenegro’s forays into the community – a commitment he made after becoming the party leader, designed to hear what people want from his party ahead of legislative elections ostensibly in 2026.
