The run-up to this year’s municipal elections has already seen PSD leader Rui Rio pushing for them to be delayed. Now he has lambasted the Independent mayor of Porto Rui Moreira, for “not being trustworthy” over a ‘deal’ the two were due to make to fight the elections ‘together’.
Mr Rio has now discounted this possibility – while a source for Mr Moreira’s campaign has said the PSD’s leader’s affirmations are “false”.
