Protesters sing Revolution song

A speech by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in Porto on Monday was interrupted by around 200 protesters who began singing the anti-fascist song Grândola Vila Morena by the late ‘Revolution singer’ Zeca Afonso. Miguel Relvas was addressing an audience at the Clube dos Pensadores do Porto when the group started singing and then shouted for his resignation. The protesters also shouted “25th of April forever! Bring down the fascists” and “thieves”, referring to the current government. The minister said he did not feel “discouraged” by the situation.
