STALL HOLDERS who sell roasted chestnuts in the streets of Lisbon protested outside the Câmara on Monday because of a decision to charge extra for sellers to work until 10pm.
Luísa Marques, president of the chestnut and ice cream sellers association in Lisbon, said that the protest was started because Lisbon Câmara wants to charge an extra 194 euros, on top of the bi-annual 466 euro licence fee, for stall holders to work until later.
According to Luísa Marques, the current economic crisis is negatively affecting the chestnut selling business.
