A group of resident and holiday property owners at Porto Dona Maria development near Praia da Luz has raised €3,266 for local special-needs charity NECI.
The donation was handed over to NECI president João da Silva when the owners visited the charity last month.
“Seeing some of the most vulnerable children and young adults in the Western Algarve being cared for by obviously dedicated and committed staff was inspiring,” said Bryan Nutter, the group’s spokesperson.
He added that the group – including Portuguese, British, German, Norwegian, Dutch, Spanish and Belgian homeowners – was “very pleased” to support “such a good and worthwhile cause”.
