Ombria Resort begins pre-sales of Oriole Village; Americans among main clients
Ombria Resort in Loulé has announced the start of pre-sales for Oriole Village, a tourist village featuring 21 apartments, 50 semidetached villas and 12 detached villas.
The luxury sustainable development, which is due to open this autumn, says that 20% of the properties have already been booked during the private pre-sales period which lasted just one month.
“The success of sales at Oriole Village is explained by its premium location and the growing demand for new properties in this segment in the Algarve,” said João Richard Costa, Director of Sales and Marketing at Ombria Resort.
“The location, with views of our 18-hole golf course and its proximity to our five-star hotel, which will be managed by Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, along with the focus on sustainability and protection of the environment, are, without a doubt, valuable assets in this new phase of Ombria Resort,” he added.
“Clients who have already booked (properties) at Oriole Village, the majority from the USA, several countries in Europe and Portugal, had been waiting patiently for several months for the start of sales. We are happy to announce that the interest of clients who were on the waiting list has been confirmed,” João Richard Costa also said.
Set in the heart of the 153-hectare resort, Oriole Village is described as a tourist village inspired by local towns yet featuring a contemporary design. All properties are south- or west-facing and boast “stunning views” of the resort’s golf course.
Just like in previous phases of Ombria Resort, Oriole Village’s bioclimatic architecture, a geothermal system in some properties, the low construction density and the perfect integration within nature confirm the commitment to sustainability, one of the fundamental principles of Ombria Resort.
Päivi Tomula, Investment Director, Real Estate of Pontos Group concludes: “Following the sales success of the Viceroy Residences at Ombria Resort, we are delighted that this new residential option is already attracting so many buyers. Being a long-term dedicated owner, Pontos welcomes this new phase which brings us one step closer to our original purpose of creating an eco-friendly destination where people will enjoy living.”
Construction of Oriole Village is due to begin at the end of 2022 and be completed by the summer of 2025.
One- to four-bedroom properties are available, all of which can be rented out with management by a “leading hotel management company” hired by Ombria Resort.
Owners will have access to the Oriole Village restaurant and the two shared pools as well as all the condominium services, including reception, security and garden and pool maintenance. They will also be able to access the facilities of Viceroy at Ombria Resort, the five-star hotel currently under construction and due to open in the spring of 2023 as well as its five exclusive restaurants, spa, kids club, library, gourmet store, golf clubhouse and conference centre. Also included are discounts for the golf course and other Ombria Resort facilities, such as the organic farming area, beekeeping, stargazing observatory, hiking or cycling trails and beach club at one of the nearby beaches.
Property prices start at €575,000 with indoor areas ranging from 70sqm to 301sqm. All Oriole Village properties are fully equipped and furnished, boast ample terraces or balconies, garage for one or two cars and some feature their own private gardens and pools.
From concept to design, Lisbon-based architecture firm Promontorio “followed a creative vision inspired by the surroundings, weaving the hillsides and forests into the streets of a traditional Algarvian village.
“The highest standards of construction combine with local materials and craftwork. The finishings throughout express the soul of the region, from artisanal detailing to local stone. The interior spaces capture the feel and freedom of an outdoor lifestyle and the heritage of a place in balance with nature,” the resort says.
Ombria Resort is located seven kilometres north of Loulé and is described as a “pioneer in a new generation of low-density construction developments in which sustainability, the environment and the local heritage are priorities”.
“The project will aim to combat seasonality in the Algarve and will lead to new opportunities for the local population,” the resort adds.
