Tavira Câmara is preparing a municipal plan to analyse and improve accessibility in the council.
Entitled Plano Municipal de Promoção da Acessibilidade (PMPA), the plan follows a recent initiative in the city where 40 people on wheelchairs toured the city to establish what difficulties were faced with regards to accessibility.
With a better understanding of the obstacles that need to be overcome, Tavira Câmara, through the PMPA, will be working on finding solutions in all areas limiting accessibility, such as on public streets, buildings and transports.
