SC Farense, who secured a return to the Segunda Liga, will officially present the squad for the coming season on Saturday at 6.30pm when they take on Primeira Liga Marítimo (Madeira) at the Estádio de São Luís (behind Faro Hospital).
On Tuesday, July 18 at 6pm, English Division One outfit Peterborough United will provide the opposition at the Colina Verde Sports Resort, Maragota, near Moncarapacho.
Manager Rui Duarte has signed seven reinforcements: goalkeeper Daniel Fernandes (ex-Lillestrom, Norway); defenders: Michael Silva (ex-Cova da Piedade) and Perisic (ex-FK Borac Cacak, Serbia); midfielders: Markovic (ex-Vardar Skopje, Macedonia) and Paulo Teles (former Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Bulgaria) plus forwards Ivanildo Nhaga (ex-Juventude de Évora) and Alan Junior (on loan from Benfica).
Fifteen of last season’s squad remain at the club: goalkeepers Miguel Carvalho and Hugo Marques; defenders: Delmiro, Filipe Godinho, Jorge Ribeiro, Bruno Bernardo, Pedro Kadri, Cassio and Fabinho; midfielders: Nuno Borges, André Vieira and Fabrício plus forwards: Alvarinho, Tavinho, Irobiso and Fábio Gomes.
