Private school in Lisbon fined for having teachers on premises during lockdown

St Dominics international school, in Cascais, has been condemned to pay over €9,000 for “maintaining teachers in the school during the State of Emergency in January 2021”. The school argued that the teachers were not properly equipped to conduct distance learning from their homes, “but the Court of Appeal did not rule in their favour”, explain reports. The decision comes even though the teachers were seen to be respecting rules of physical distancing.
