Faro council has sold a plot of land along Estrada da Senhora de Saúde for the construction of a new private hospital.
According to a statement, the land has an area of more than 5,000sqm and allows for the construction of a four-storey building with an extra two floors below ground.
The new hospital is due to be functioning in January 2012, with the project estimated to cost 1.3 million euros.
