Prison break

Three men, including a convicted murderer, escaped from prison in Grândola over the weekend, but at the time of writing, two had already been recaptured. The men, aged between 35 and 40, made their breaks from an area of the facility reserved for inmates on ‘open’ regimes. The murderer was one of the men recaptured. According to Correio da Manhã, he is serving an 18-year sentence. An inquiry is now ongoing to find out how the men managed to evade their guards.
