‘Princess’ Anastacia

FROM THE unimaginable highs of multi-million selling records to the devastating lows of Crohn’s disease and breast cancer, Anastacia has seen it all.

Since releasing her debut album Not that Kind in 2000, her huge voice and infectious personality have made fans around the world fall in love with her. She’s loud, brash and in your face, but also grounded, passionate and true – something that’s always reflected in her music.

Not that Kind was a massive success, reaching the top 10 in eight European countries and selling over two million copies.

The single I’m Outta Love became an instant dance hit and, in May 2002, she joined Mary J Blige, Cher, Shakira and others for VH1’s fifth annual Divas Live showcase.

Her 2002 album, Freak of Nature, built on her growing success, selling an incredible 20 million albums worldwide. She has also amassed 12 hit singles, three going top 10, and won countless international awards.

In January 2003, Anastacia confirmed to the world that she had breast cancer. Typically though, she indicated that it would not stop her from doing what she loved, and so, in September 2003, she entered the studio and began recording her next album. Warned by her doctors that she would be physically drained from treatment, Anastacia was prepared to fight through whatever stood in her way.

Anastacia has developed a fierce sense of individuality, she’s always been very spontaneous, raw, direct, and has allowed life’s lessons to guide her. She’s an original, her talents unique, songwriting honest, singing passionate and personality sincere.
