Prime Minister José Sócrates (pictured) joined Faro Câmara President José Apolinário to stress the importance of partnerships between Faro Câmara and state and private institutions in creating jobs in the city.
It was revealed at a press conference in Faro on Friday, May 8, that 1,000 new jobs have been created recently in Faro, including positions at the refurbished Estoi palace, jobs in newly constructed nursing homes and at the municipal market.
José Apolinário added that the Câmara would be using the unemployed youth of Faro in future works to improve public spaces in the city in a bid to cut youth unemployment levels.
