Price of fuel goes up again – annulling effect of government tax cut

Two days after the government announced it was cutting its tax grab on the price of petrol and diesel, the cost of both has gone up for the 35th time this year, turning the State’s gesture to dust. As of this morning, the cost of both diesel and petrol has increased by 1.5 cents taking Portugal’s petrol to the 5th most expensive in Europe while diesel is the 9th most expensive across the bloc.
