A judge at the Central Criminal Court in Lisbon ordered preventative detention for three individuals suspected of involvement in credit card cloning operations through an American hotel bookings website.
As reported in last week’s Algarve Resident, the offenders are two men and a woman, aged 51, 37 and 55 respectively, who operated the credit card cloning scam from a villa near Olhão,.
They are being investigated for criminal association, credit card fraud, internet fraud, money laundering, drug trafficking and falsification of documents.
