Valverde Lawn Bowls Club Almancil held the final of its President’s Shield Competition on Friday, November 17.
Newly-elected Club President Geoff Drewer was there to present the shield to Chris Thatcher who defeated Peter Wilson 15-5.
Thirty members entered the competition, which is a knockout singles.
In his first year as a member of the club, Chris is also the reigning men’s singles champion and is obviously the one to beat. Well done Chris.
