PRESIDENT CAVACO Silva cancelled his public visit to the Algarve on Monday due to the death of his father.
Teodoro Cavaco Silva, the Portuguese President’s father, died aged 95 on Sunday at Faro hospital, where he had been since September 22 due to respiratory problems.
Teodoro Cavaco Silva’s funeral took place on Monday afternoon at the Boliqueime cemetery, where he was buried alongside his wife’s remains.
