President says “it’s very, very difficult to be a government” these days

With protests marking the PS governments first 100 days in office, President Marcelo has conceded it is “very, very difficult to be a government in any country” right now. “We hear about prime ministers who fall, don’t fall…this idea that the war (in Ukraine) is for other people is wrong. If it was for other people fuel would not be as high as it is here…” Marcelo yesterday sought to dispel any fears that PRR recovery and resilience funding arriving from Brussels could somehow be misappropriated, or squandered. “There are so many entities” set up to control funds allocation and spending”, he stressed. He “hopes” they prove sufficient for proper control.
