President Marcelo visits young Commando recruit who collapsed during training

President Marcelo has this morning visited the young recruit who collapsed on a commando training course earlier this month. It was initially feared that 21-year-old Nuno Marinho from Celorico do Basto might have suffered the kind of organ damage collapses from heatstroke can provoke, but following days in an induced coma he is once again conscious and appears to be recovering favourably. Celorico de Basto is President Marcelo’s ‘home borough’, thus he will have had a special affinity with this latest situation.
