President Marcelo has sent a message of condolence and solidarity to his North American counterpart, Joe Biden, over the wildfire tragedy in Maui – in which a number of Portuguese descendants are still registered as ‘missing’. The current death toll of 93 is expected to rise as searches of the areas devastated by the inferno proceed.
