President Marcelo ‘not concerned’ that he is featured in Daesh propaganda

President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has dismissed concerns that he has been featured in a propaganda video issued by terrorist organisation Daesh – saying it is “nothing new”. Security services studying the clip, which shows Marcelo decorating the King of Morocco with the Grand Cross of the Order of Santiago, have concluded that the ‘target’ is the latter, and not the former, explains Diário de Notícias.

The video, entitled “Generation of the Caliphate” sees jihadists referring to President Marcelo as an infidel, and to the King of Morocco as a “shameless Muslim”.

DN quotes political commentator Nuno Rogério who gave a seminar recently in which he said jihadist movements produce 90,000 messages a day, many of which are disseminated over social media and websites.
