President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will travel to the Algarve again today (August 4) to meet with the region’s mayors, this time in Lagoa. A working dinner is planned for 8pm at the town’s Gaspacho & Migas restaurant, behind the town hall.
President Marcelo is also expected to meet separately with Lagoa Mayor Luís Encarnação before the dinner event.
Last month, the president vowed to visit the Algarve every week this summer to help show that the region is a safe destination for travellers and provide a voice to the countless people who have been affected by the pandemic.
So far, he has visited Monte Gordo (Vila Real de Santo António), Lagos, Loulé and Tavira.
