THE PRESIDENT of Lisbon Câmara, António Costa, was in the Chinese capital of Beijing last weekend to examine the infrastructure for the Olympic Games.
Lisbon is eager to know how other countries such as China and the United Kingdom are planning the world’s largest and most famous sporting event with a view to eventually putting forward her own bid within the next two decades.
Both the municipal councils in Beijing and Lisbon are also exploring the possibility of building a spirit of cooperation between the two cities in the future.
