With only the above photograph released this far, Lusa reports that President Marcelo has decorated King Charles III, in London, with the special honour of the Military Order of the “Tower and the Sword, of Valour, Loyalty and Merit”. The award was presented to the British monarch during the pair’s meeting at Buckingham Palace this morning. Presumably the above photograph is the King looking at it. According to the president’s official website, it is the same honour bestowed on the King’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
