The popular Christmas fair ArteNata is returning to the picturesque fishermen’s town for the ninth year on the weekend of December 14 and 15.
Held at the Rainha D. Leonor square and adjacent streets, the event is organised by the Ferragudo parish council, which this year is expecting around 50 exhibitors to take part.
The 9th ArteNata is aimed at artisans and artists from the Algarve whose products “bring quality and added value to the event”, said the parish council.
There will also be street entertainment, music and stalls selling typical Algarve foods.
An initiative in partnership with association Teia de Impulsos will see the “Route of Nativity Scenes” being launched in Ferragudo.
Those taking the route, which incorporates local shops selling festive products at competitive prices, will find a selection of nativity scenes along the way, both as window displays and along the town’s streets.
ArteNata runs from 10am to 8pm each day.
