The Family Medical Centre, with clinics in Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago, has unveiled a new one-day comprehensive health screening programme.
The doctors at the Family Medical Centres, in conjunction with the state-of-the-art facilities at the Hospital Particular do Algarve in Faro, are now offering an innovative one-day comprehensive health check-up.
The thorough tests and analysis allow peace of mind and/or an early opportunity to take positive action. Within just a few hours, a personal action plan is produced, with all results and expert advice for your future health.
The Premium Health Check includes an initial discussion with one of the Family Medical Centre doctors, followed by blood, urine and stool tests. Then it’s on to the Hospital Particular, accompanied by one of the Family Medical Centre nurses, to be guided through MRI scans of brain, arteries, abdomen and pelvis; a CT scan of the lungs; a heart ECG, stress test and echocardiagram.
The duration of these tests is around 3-4 hours, after which you are free to leave, returning to the Family Medical Centre later that day for all of your results to be presented, discussed and to receive your Personal Health Action Plan.
This comprehensive healthcare package costs €1,600 and, according to the Family Medical Centre, is “very competitively priced – up to 50% less than in several other European countries – and offers an excellent opportunity to benefit from quality medical facilities with expert consultation.”
