Premier FX introduces prepaid currency card

Currency transfer company Premier FX has introduced a product specifically for consumers living or travelling abroad.

The new product offers travellers and expats a safe and easy way to make purchases abroad, while still enjoying favourable exchange rates.

The PFX Prepaid Currency Card, in euros or US dollars, provides cardholders with a simple and secure alternative to carrying cash, says the company.

“The PFX Prepaid Currency Card is a new way for consumers to save money in their transactions at the retail level,” explained Peter Rexstrew, Premier FX owner and chief executive.

The prepaid card is backed by Mastercard® and works like a debit card in shops, restaurants, hotels, cash machines and other retailers around the world.

“The card is perfect for travellers as well as expats living abroad without local banking services,” added Rexstrew. “Cardholders save money on purchases, but also have access to cash in foreign lands without actually carrying cash.”

Cards are free to order. Users register at www.premierfx.com, or call the Premier FX office in Almancil. Cards are mailed to clients’ locations and are ready to use to make purchases and payments. The online system is designed for clients to “top up” their card at any time or from any smart device. Clients can also see recent transactions and review account balances.
