A small boardwalk is being built on the cliffside of Portimão’s Praia do Vau.
It will link the popular beach to Ponta João d’Arens, the coastal area that continues all the way to Alvor.
According to Sulinformação, the much-used path where the boardwalk is being set up was deteriorating. Thus the Algarve Environmental Agency (APA) stepped in, at the same time carrying out work on the cliff in an attempt to make it safer.
The project – expected to be completed soon – is costing €25,000.
