Weekend || Tasting the best wines Portimão producers have to offer will be possible at the first Portimão Wine Tasting event taking place this weekend (July 11-13) at the Santa Catarina fortress in Praia da Rocha from 7pm.
Organised by the Portimão tourism association (ATP), the event will showcase wines from three local producers – Quinta da Penina, Quinta Morgado da Torre and Herdade dos Pimentéis – as well as traditional Portuguese delicacies.
Admission is free, but visitors must purchase a wine tasting glass for €1.50. Each wine can then be tasted for an additional €1.50 to €2.
Both the ATP and Portimão City Hall hope to make this an annual event.
