Marinha is among 15 locations showcased in the campaign

Lagoa’s idyllic Marinha beach has been selected as one of the 15 locations across Portugal to illustrate Nutella’s limited edition jars of cocoa and hazelnut spread until June.

The goal of the campaign is to “show people the hidden treasures near their homes,” says a statement released by the brand.

The limited edition, 600gr jars can be purchased at the usual retail outlets.

“With its new campaign ‘Em casa temos o que é bom’ (At home we have what is good), Nutella aims to promote local tourism, encouraging anyone to visit the unique locations that are around us and deserve to be discovered,” says the brand, which is owned by Italian company Ferrero, adding that “we do not have to go very far to enjoy unique experiences.”

Praia da Marinha is highlighted as one of the “iconic locations” chosen for the special campaign, thanks to its “warm-coloured cliffs which were sculpted by erosion and display a notable diversity of rocky shapes such as arches or caves.”

Famous for being one of the best beaches in the world, this beach of wild and preserved nature is accessed via a long set of stairs which makes it possible to observe and soak in the view,” it adds.

The Berlengas Island in Peniche, an “important sea bird sanctuary and natural reserve which protects the region’s unique flora and fauna”; Ponte de Lima, which is “surrounded by a stunning natural landscape, including the Peneda-Gerês National Park, mountains and green valleys”; and Rio Lima are some of the other locations highlighted by the brand.
