Post Office ‘privatisation’ to be reviewed in 2020

With growing public dissatisfaction over Post Office closures, the government has agreed to review the ‘concession’ that privatised the national service when the licence comes up for renewal in 2020.

This is the first indication that the 2014 decision to privatise could be reversed.

Battles ongoing, particularly in the Algarve, contend that Post Office bosses are no longer providing a service that complies with the terms of their contract (click here).
