Portuguese families are expecting to spend on average €528 on school supplies this year – €19 more than in 2014. According to Observador Cetelem, it is the highest sum in the last five years.
This could also mean that credit card purchases are going to increase.
Around 24% of the queried in the study said they were going to buy school supplies with their credit card, as opposed to 18% last year.
