A British toddler, aged 19 months, was killed when a 24-year-old Portuguese taxi driver responded to a call to pick up the child’s parents.
The accident, in the popular ski resort of Zermatt, Switzerland, happened when the driver was reversing, reports Correio da Manhã.
The child was taken to hospital with “serious injuries” but died shortly afterwards.
Police are reported to be investigating.
