Tottenham Hotspur were ready to install former Porto and Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas as their new manager this week.
It is expected that his appointment will be followed by an immediate move for midfielder João Moutinho who is seen as the ideal replacement for Madrid-bound Luka Modric. Moutinho, who was born and raised in Portimão, recently starred at the Euro’2012 Championships and could become the first Algarvean to play in the Premier League.
